Why the New Business Pilot

Entrepreneurs are some of the busiest people out there. They’re working all hours to build something meaningful—for themselves, their teams, their families, their communities, and sometimes even for society as a whole. With so much on their plates, I wanted to create something simple and visual—an analogy that could represent the whole entrepreneurial journey. One image they could keep coming back to for guidance.

The idea is to connect each part of the journey to a pilot’s experience. From being physically and mentally ready, to getting the right training, all the way to landing at your destination—often while navigating all sorts of unexpected challenges along the way.

The blog posts will be short and to the point, focusing on one key takeaway each time. Together, the posts will (hopefully!) build into a cohesive journey. They won’t always follow a strict order—there will be detours, just like flying through unpredictable weather. And on a personal note, the image of the pilot standing by a small aircraft is a tribute to my dad. He passed away some time ago, but he always encouraged me to chase my passions. Flying light planes was one of his, so this analogy feels like a little nod to him.

Catch you in the next post, where we’ll dive into why Nagging is Best. See you there!
